Addae was a defensive backs coach for the Mountaineers in Neal Brown’s first season and then transitioned to a role as co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach this past season.
West Virginia’s defense made significant improvements in 2020, finishing fifth in the NCAA in total defense. The Mountaineers yielded just 20.5 points per game after allowing 28.3 in 2019.
Addae was a four-year starter for the Mountaineers from 2002-2005, making 253 tackles. His final college game came against the Georgia Bulldogs in WVU’s victory in the Sugar Bowl in Atlanta.
