MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Martinsburg High School teammates and multiple state championship winners Naieem Kearney and Anthony Smith signed with FCS schools Wednesday as the second football signing period opened.
Kearney selected Georgetown University over nine other offers, which included over half of the Ivy League schools. Kearney accounted for 811 yards from scrimmage and nine touchdowns in a six-game senior season with the Bulldogs.

Anthony Smith signed with Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pa. Smith won the Carl Lee Award in his senior season as the state’s top defensive back. He racked up 50 tackles in a six-game senior season and was also the Bulldogs’ leading receiver with 680 yards and nine scores.

Also signing to play at the Division I level are Wheeling Park kicker Andrew Glass (Kent State) and offensive lineman Caleb Bryan (Lehigh).
