MetroNews This Morning 2-16-21

Another ice storm leaves more than 100,000 West Virginians in the dark and thousands of trees and power lines broken and tangled this morning. The weather will turn sharply colder in West Virginia today with an arctic front moving in. Covid 19 numbers continue to trend in a positive direction as the spread of the virus appears to continue to ease up in West Virginia, but many are still waiting on a vaccine. Governor Justice says those vaccinations are directly responsible for the improved situation. Meanwhile, lawmakers in the session are dealing with the Governor’s emergency powers and just how far reaching they should be and a charter school measure is advancing.
