Court documents show Maryland man allegedly killed brother over COVID shots

CUMBERLAND, Maryland — More information has been released in connection with the Maryland man arrested in West Virginia last week after allegedly killing three people in Maryland.

Jeffery Burnham

Charging documents filed in Howard County (Md.) District Court allege Jeffery Burnham, 46, of Cumberland, Md., wanted to confront his brother who was a pharmacist about the COVID-19 vaccine.

Burnham allegedly killed Rebecca Reynolds, 83, at her home in Cumberland on Sept. 29. Police said he stole Reynolds’ vehicle and drove to his brother’s home in Howard County where he allegedly killed his brother, Brian Robinette, 58, and his wife, Kelly Robinette, 57, and then stole their vehicle.

According to the court information, a person told Maryland state police Burnham stopped at their house for gas money and told them they would see him on television and that his brother was killing people with the COVID shot.

Burnham also allegedly told his mother before the shootings that the FBI would be coming after them. She then called Cumberland police.

He was arrested in Tucker County on Oct. 1.

Burnham has been extradited from West Virginia and is currently being held in the Allegany County (Md,) Detention Center.
