MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The WVU football team has endured little attrition to date in the current transfer portal window. On Thursday, two defensive backs announced their plans to leave Morgantown.
Spear Hershey McLaurin and cornerback Andrew Wilson-Lamp posted messages on social media with their intentions to enter the portal.

McLaurin is a graduate transfer with one season of eligibility remaining. He played two seasons in Morgantown after transferring in from Jones County Junior College in 2021. McLaurin played in 23 games as a Mountaineer. He made 89 tackles and defended four passes in two seasons.

Cornerback Andrew Wilson-Lamp departs WVU after playing sparingly in three seasons with the program. He collected 14 tackles while playing in 25 games.
The current transfer portal window will close on January 4.
